Top 10 young players to watch during the Euro 2012

It is almost impossible to say who is best rising star, so they are in alphabetic order.

Alan Dzagoev

The 21-year-old Russian is playing currently at CSKA Moscow, but with a good performance he could get quickly to a bigger European club.

André Schürrle

He is 21 as well. He had a stunning season in 2010-11 in Mainz and Leverkusen took him right away. He could get really famous if he will lead Germany to victory.

Andriy Yarmolenko

A young but quite experienced member of the host team Ukraine. He has made over 120 appearances in Dynamo Kyiv and scored more than 40 goals.

Christian Eriksen

The Danish playmaker turned down AC Milan and Barcelona to sign for Ajax where he had a great season. Eriksen is one of the highest-rated young players in all of Europe.

Ivan Rakitic

Left Schalke 04 for Sevilla last summer and now has the chance to show himself to Europe with the Croatian national team and maybe to move forward.

Jack Wilshere

The 20-year-old Wilshere became a key player for Arsenal this season. Can he do the same in the national team?

Kevin Strootman

The 21-year-old PSV midfielder is a favourite of Van Marwijk and has blended quickly into the side, volleying his first goal for his country against Finland during the qualification.

The young star of the other host team. He won the Bundesliga with Dortmund and he is surely hungry for success at Euro 2012 in front of the home fans.

Mario Balotelli

No need to introduce him... Love or hate him he is a great talent and now has the chance to prove it in the Italian national team.

Thiago Alcantara

He played quite well in Guardiola's Barcelona. Alcantara could be the next star of FCB and Spain as well.
